The Rockwall Texas Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall plant maintenance and coordination of activities with other departments in a manner which results in the production of quality product at a cost and schedule consistent with company policies, customer service and plant objectives. The primary duties of a Maintenance Manager include: - Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Participates in plant staff, shift and safety meetings, and conducts regular departmental meetings and departmental training based on needs assessment. - Participates in plant operational planning meetings. - Develop new methods and procedures to optimize manufacturing efficiency and reduce operating costs. - Maintains direct contact with the Engineering department on the latest improvements to plant machinery and systems to more effectively increase manufacturing performance and reduce operating costs. - Investigates and diagnoses causes of breakdowns and develop programs and solutions to reduce/eliminate future occurrences. - Determines and controls maintenance budget to ensure efficient use of funds and reduce/eliminate repetitive purchases by identifying and eliminating root causes. - Responsible for the selection, training and development of shift personnel to attain department goals. - Meets with vendors and plant visitors. - May be responsible for special projects related to other functional areas. - 0-25% travel may be required.

Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Machine Operator based in Rockwall, TX. This opening is for day shift, which operates during the hours of 6:54 am - 7:00 pm and rotates on a 3-2-2 schedule.    Pay: $19.85/hr   Weekly Pay and Benefits Effective Day One!   The Operator is responsible for operating a given number of plastic blow molding machines (including in-line equipment), and makes necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure production of containers is made in a safe, efficient and high quality manner. The primary duties of an Operator include: - Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned - Operate a group of plastic blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment producing a container in a safe and high quality method. - Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned. - Perform and/or assists in mold, insert and color changes on the line. - Perform basic processing of injection and/or blow molding machines to improve machine efficiency and reduce scrap. - Perform tasks and responsibilities of any Utility position during slow periods and/or as needed. - Monitor HDPE/PET resin (if applicable), dryer, material handling and color systems for appropriate processing conditions. - Make frequent on time quality checks on products being produced from established quality standards. - Assist other Operators and maintenance personnel on mechanical repairs. - Perform assigned preventative maintenance work. - Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards. - Complete and file all required documentation in an orderly and timely manner. - Communicate with the Production Shift Supervisor to coordinate production line support staff in accomplishing the lines’ objectives. - Verify material usage per standards - Perform minor troubleshooting and programming on the line. Notify leads and supervisors of any major problems or questions. - Operate equipment to minimize the generation and maximize the consumption of regrind, purge and scrap within customer specifications where applicable. - Properly identify regrind and chunk produced. - Communicate processing information to designated personnel on incoming shift. Assist other Operators as needed. - Assist in the training of new Operators. - Limited travel may be required

Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Forklift Operator based in Rockwall, Texas. This position is for night shift which operates from 6:54pm - 7:00am on a 3-2-2 schedule.    Pay: $21.47/hr Additional $ night shift differential.    Weekly Pay and Benefits Effective Day One!     Forklift Operators perform a combination of product handling and lift truck operating duties to stack, transport, and store work-in-process and finished goods. Supplies production lines with efficient flow of materials – knockdowns and dividers - and moves finished goods to warehouse. Complete line driver reports accurately and legible showing locations and quantities of raw materials used as well as quantities and locations where finished goods were stored. Assist production line employees by relieving them in breaks and lunchtime periods. The primary duties of a Forklift Operator include: - Follow all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Perform a safety lift truck inspection and battery check and report any equipment malfunctioning or damage to the Warehouse Manager or Shift Supervisor. Change lift truck batteries and add water when necessary; keep record of time batteries are changed. Fill out lift truck status report. - Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned. - Review daily production schedule with Shift Supervisor, brings materials to the production lines when needed to execute schedule and notify supervisor of any materials running low. Removes finished goods from production lines, back to assigned warehouse locations. - Provide accurate information of unloaded materials as well as materials used or produced to warehouse personnel. - Remove, store, and unitize production scrap bales and informs warehouse personnel when there is enough for a full load. Removes excess corrugated from mezzanine and empties baler as required. Takes full bales of cardboard scrap from baler to assigned location in the warehouse. - Maintain accurate records of materials being used and produced, and reports them in appropriate paperwork, back to warehouse personnel. - Remove finished goods and other materials in hold to assigned location. Stores finished goods stacked neatly and in proper height. Verifies that all finished goods removed from the production area must have a product code tag. - Participate in physical inventory taking. - Keep each production line supplied with the proper knock down cases, dividers, pallets and when each pallet is full take that pallet to the warehouse for loading on the trailer; and takes unused cases and dividers back to the warehouse to the proper location. - On limited production, may assist in stock-handler duties or load trailers as needed. - Bring up hot glue cases to the mezzanine, brings color concentrate to the lines, replaces cold glue tote, removes excess cases from production floor, brings slip sheets to production floor, loads storage racks with gaylords, set up rework, set up units of product on hold for Q.C., relieves stock handlers, loads and unloads corrugated trailers, identifies good corrugated from the bad and isolates it. - Follow established forklift procedures and complete required safety and maintenance checklists - Follow established procedures for damaged finished goods and raw materials and report them on line driver report. - Communicate with supervisor regarding shift totals and machine totals reports and with other lift truck operators regarding any changes or problems that arise, including damaged materials, damaged skids, or low inventories. - Complete written documentation as required. - Assist in relieving downstream teammates for breaks and lunches. - Use forklift to move pallets of finished product to stretch wrap machines to stretch wrap them and to staging area after wrapping, or to specify warehouse location. Completes finished goods report or worksheet. - Maintain supplies of corrugated and other packaging supplies at each machine. - Visually inspect all completed pallets of product for quality and conformity to the packaging instructions to ensure quality at the source. - Limited travel may be required.

The Company Graham Packaging Company is a global leader in the design, manufacture and sale of value added, custom blow-moulded plastic containers used for packaging branded food and beverages, personal care and household products, chemicals and lubricants.  With annual sales of over $2 billion and over 80 manufacturing plants around the world, the company is a clear market leader in nearly every market segment in which they operate.    The Role The Plant Controller will report directly to the Regional Controller and will have responsibilities for the Rockwall, TX plant location specifically: - Responsible for the monthly closing process, analytical review of plant financial statements as well as forecasting and budgeting at the plant level - Review and analyze data to identify actual plant manufacturing results versus established objectives - Provide support to develop and track additional cost savings opportunities and monitor progress of current initiatives - Collaborate with senior level business unit professionals to provide insightful, data-driven analysis and support - Other responsibilities as needed   This role is segmented into 3 main themes – Insight, Control and Planning & Reporting.    Insight - Identify key performance metrics that impact conversion costs and work with operations on reduction opportunities - Analyze conversion costs and productivity of the plant to drive operational improvement in focused areas; fully support A3 process and initiatives; drive A3 reporting requirements within the plant - Provide financial leadership for capital management, including working with the manufacturing organization to prepare financial analysis related to cost savings & maintenance projects (“AFEs”) - Drive team to utilize forecast data to drive actions in the plant with flexibility in spending, manning and overall structure - Key participant in other plant lead team support initiatives and other plant functions such as safety, quality, etc. - Evaluate and analyze plant profitability at a SKU or mold level - Educate and train staff on plant financials, spend tracking, and operational levers. - Assist Plant Managers when vacancies exist in other areas  Control - External/Internal audit support - Monitoring of standard costs for accuracy - Assist in the management of the physical inventory audit process - Implement and ensure compliance of internal financial & operational controls and procedures and SOX related requirements (Building Blocks) - Inventory control focused on eliminating monthly physical count variances, reduction of slow moving/obsolete write offs; managing inventory on a FIFO basis; coordinating a successful annual tagged physical inventory - Control and maintenance of fixed asset inventory to include annual fixed asset audit  Planning & Reporting - Responsible for financial closing process for assigned plant manufacturing locations - Scorekeeper of Daily Trackers for labor and variable spend; ensure team has the tools and training to track their spend on a daily basis to optimize performance - Work with Plant lead team to develop annual plant operating budget and management presentation, monthly forecast updates and full year forecasts - Analysis of monthly operating variances with explanations to plant team and executive leadership - Provide day to day financial and operational support - Perform manufacturing variance analysis - Responsible for developing plant standard costing - Review and approve product standard costs reasonableness and correlation to plant operations - Assist management with financial analysis or special projects
