Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Shipping Clerk based in Rockwall, TX. This opening is for 1ST Shift, which operates during the hours of 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. This position will operate a Fork Truck. Warehouse Specialist/Shipping Clerks monitor all aspects of shipping, warehousing, and the movement of freight while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and service. The primary duties of a Warehouse Specialist/Shipping Clerk include: - Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Coordinate with Supervisor to generate orders for all daily shipments. - Direct and load outgoing trucks per schedule and manage paperwork. - Direct, unload, and store incoming materials and deliveries. - Gain understanding of sales orders and releases with Supervisor and customer logistic contact. - Operate forklift equipment with best, safe practices. - Ensure timely, organized, accurate plant receiving and record keeping. - Assist Supervisor in researching receiving and inventory matters. - Support Supervisor in maintaining perpetual inventory systems and perform physical inventories. - Support Supervisor in unloading, changeover of resin railcars and in preparing BOL - Complete data entry and record keeping with SAP and various spreadsheets. - Maintaining GMP Warehouse Standards. - Send outbound materials with associated paperwork. - Receive dunnage and conduct routine dunnage counts at the various sites. - Coordinate with Supervisor on storage, sale, and shipment of regrind, purging, and clean floor sweepings. - Conduct floor audits with shift end Forklift Operators to review damaged product. - Backup and assist Warehouse Lead with shipment of outbound / inbound UPS/Fed-Ex packages. - Input purchase orders into system in ID Buy and track until product delivery. - Shipping Clerk Responsibilities: - Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Enter correct information on bill of lading and fax to customers as required. - Contact customers and common carriers as required. - Coordinate shipments to Customers and Warehouse. - Responsible for all the paperwork connected with the warehouse function including bills of lading, freight bills, location records, unit load patterns, customer overage or shortage complaints, supply inventory records, and notifies all applicable department Managers. - Take part in physical inventories as needed. - Assist in normal daily Shipping operations as needed. - Communicate all conditions that may affect the quality of product to Supervisor and/or Plant Manager. - Receive incoming supplies and materials as required; deliver to specific departments as needed. - Enter correct information on Certificate of Compliance and fax to customer as needed. - Create manual bill of ladings, sales orders and provide proof of delivery as needed. - Check on outgoing carriers and assign dock door. Coordinate outgoing shipments with the Forklift Operator. - Ensure all loads go out on time with the correct materials, in shippable condition. - Ensure all product that may be damaged in the warehouse or shipping operations are properly handled via the HFI procedure. - Ensure all production is properly logged into the Warehouse Management System. - Informs Scheduling and Production when there are discrepancies in the Warehouse Management System, especially if they will directly affect customer shipments. - Help provide training assistance for new Warehouse/ Shipping personnel. - Ensures all shipping costs are accurately recorded. - Orders operational supplies in such a way as to avoid running out or having too much inventory.

Maintenance Technician Leads are responsible for leading and coordinates activities of vendors and workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment; and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of mill, industrial plant, or other establishment s. The primary duties of a Warehouse Lead include: - Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Ensure all loads pick up on time to meet delivery. - Notify Supervisor or Shipping Clerk or Warehouse Mgr. of any known shipping issues. - Record accurate and proper information on BOL while maintaining the integrity of control numbers. - Ensure shipment of correct product on loads. Complete verification with the loader check sheet filled out properly. - Provide tally load sheets for all outbound loads. - Load carriers FCFS at the warehouse. Move loads ahead that are in jeopardy of being late. - Perform inspection of all trailers for safety and cleanliness standards. - Manage live loads within the allotted time – if you are entering into detention – notify Shipping Clerk or management. - Receive and verify quantities of all inbound packages and shipments. - Complete an incoming tally sheet to be attached to BOL for all incoming loads of raw materials, dunnage, preforms, labels etc. - Complete receiving reports for all inventory items and return shipments notifying proper staff members. - Pursue disposition of HFI and obsolete inventories to maximize plant space. - Insure FIFO management of inventory. Complete FIFO inventory sheets at minimum - weekly. Rotating stock as needed. Complete end of row FIFO tags for every row and ensure this is being done with other team members. - Maintain warehouse shipping logs. - Ensure proper reporting and recording of movements of non-conforming product back to plant – issuing temporary HFI tags. Notifying QA Dept. and or Supervisor of the move. - Coordinate month-end inventory counts and recounts. - Manage pallet storage, rebuild, return, and scrap programs. - Lead efficient use of tow motor drivers and the warehouse team to follow standards. - Consistently follow and train plant policies and procedures while cross training EE’s. - Limited travel may be required.

The primary duties of a Maintenance Technician include: - Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Focus on producing quality product by monitoring quality levels and adjust the manufacturing processes to ensure product integrity. - Maintain controls for assuring successful plant performance to budgeted goals. - Perform machinist skills. - Repair all molds in injection department and any other assigned equipment. - Perform corrective maintenance on all multi layer hot runner platforms and all other injection mold components.  Including but not limited to the following: - Electrical circuit troubleshooting including heaters & thermocouples - Repair resin and/or air leaks on molds - Remove foreign material from molds that clogs channels - Troubleshoot broken components to determine root cause - Read and understand mold drawings - Mill, lathe, and welding experience - Identify damaged parts and know how to repair - Ability to fabricate parts needed to repair molds - Perform preventative maintenance tasks on molds - Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. - Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operation and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. - Foster ideas for improvements in methods, cost reduction and quality. - Must be able to work unsupervised at all times and stay productive. - Responsible to purchase standardized injection mold components. - Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. - Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. - Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. - Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. - Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery - Limited travel may be required

Quality Managers are responsible for the administration and management of all aspects of the plant’s quality program for all containers working through the plant quality, production, and logistics personnel. The responsibility includes management of internal / external relationships relative to quality (including supplier, customer, and regulatory compliance), management of internal quality control systems, process critical control points, and quality performance improvement and awareness. As a member of the Plant’s management team the Quality Assurance Manager also has shared responsibility for overall Plant operations, especially safety and efficiency. This opening is for  Nights 12 hour, which operates during the hours of 6PM through 630 AM on a 3,2,2,3 schedule.     The Quality Inspector assures quality of bottles and the final package prior to shipment to the customer. Train new personnel on the importance of quality and on various plant quality systems and issues. The Quality Inspector works closely with the Supervisor and production employees to achieve a quality product. The primary duties of a Quality Inspector include: - Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned. - Compare product on each line with the production schedule. Informs Supervisor if items differ and takes appropriate action. - Visual checks of bottles and box glue patterns on a regular basis for final packaging audits. - Report all rejected defects to PMTs and Supervisor. Follow through until defect is corrected. - Follow established procedures for defective products and gives all information to the Supervisor when product is put on “Hold”. - Report completed rework of defective products data according to established procedures. - May assist in training as assigned. - Assist the Supervisor as required. - Perform specified checks in accordance to Plant’s inspection plan. - Verify correct operation of in-line inspection devices, i.e. - leak testers, vision systems, metal detectors and other appropriate automated inspection equipment. - Complete all reports and forms for product and process documentation. - Enter required data to plant’s Statistical Process Charts (SPC) database. - Complete written documentation as required. - Assist in break relieves and helps out in production area when needed. - Keep Quality Assurance inspection areas clean. - Communicate about quality with other shifts and departments verbally and through written documents according to established procedures. - Limited travel may be required.
