Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Blow Mold Machine Operator based in Houston, Texas. This position is an evening shift position working from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. The Operator is responsible for operating a given number of plastic blow molding machines (including in-line equipment), and makes necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure production of containers is made in a safe, efficient and high quality manner. Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Forklift Operator based in York, PA (Farmbrook plant).  The position will work a night shift schedule, 7pm to 7am.    Forklift Operators perform a combination of product handling and lift truck operating duties to stack, transport, and store work-in-process and finished goods. Supplies production lines with efficient flow of materials – knockdowns and dividers - and moves finished goods to warehouse. Complete line driver reports accurately and legible showing locations and quantities of raw materials used as well as quantities and locations where finished goods were stored. Assist production line employees by relieving them in breaks and lunchtime periods. The primary duties of a Forklift Operator include: - Follow all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Perform a safety lift truck inspection and battery check and report any equipment malfunctioning or damage to the Warehouse Manager or Shift Supervisor. Change lift truck batteries and add water when necessary; keep record of time batteries are changed. Fill out lift truck status report. - Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned. - Review daily production schedule with Shift Supervisor, brings materials to the production lines when needed to execute schedule and notify supervisor of any materials running low. Removes finished goods from production lines, back to assigned warehouse locations. - Provide accurate information of unloaded materials as well as materials used or produced to warehouse personnel. - Remove, store, and unitize production scrap bales and informs warehouse personnel when there is enough for a full load. Removes excess corrugated from mezzanine and empties baler as required. Takes full bales of cardboard scrap from baler to assigned location in the warehouse. - Maintain accurate records of materials being used and produced, and reports them in appropriate paperwork, back to warehouse personnel. - Remove finished goods and other materials in hold to assigned location. Stores finished goods stacked neatly and in proper height. Verifies that all finished goods removed from the production area must have a product code tag. - Participate in physical inventory taking. - Keep each production line supplied with the proper knock down cases, dividers, pallets and when each pallet is full take that pallet to the warehouse for loading on the trailer; and takes unused cases and dividers back to the warehouse to the proper location. - On limited production, may assist in stock-handler duties or load trailers as needed. - Bring up hot glue cases to the mezzanine, brings color concentrate to the lines, replaces cold glue tote, removes excess cases from production floor, brings slip sheets to production floor, loads storage racks with gaylords, set up rework, set up units of product on hold for Q.C., relieves stock handlers, loads and unloads corrugated trailers, identifies good corrugated from the bad and isolates it. - Follow established forklift procedures and complete required safety and maintenance checklists - Follow established procedures for damaged finished goods and raw materials and report them on line driver report. - Communicate with supervisor regarding shift totals and machine totals reports and with other lift truck operators regarding any changes or problems that arise, including damaged materials, damaged skids, or low inventories. - Complete written documentation as required. - Assist in relieving downstream teammates for breaks and lunches. - Use forklift to move pallets of finished product to stretch wrap machines to stretch wrap them and to staging area after wrapping, or to specify warehouse location. Completes finished goods report or worksheet. - Maintain supplies of corrugated and other packaging supplies at each machine. - Visually inspect all completed pallets of product for quality and conformity to the packaging instructions to ensure quality at the source. - Limited travel may be required.            #INDHP

The Quality Inspector assures quality of bottles and the final package prior to shipment to the customer. Train new personnel on the importance of quality and on various plant quality systems and issues. The Quality Inspector works closely with the Supervisor and production employees to achieve a quality product. Informs Supervisor if items differ and takes appropriate action. - Visual checks of bottles and box glue patterns on a regular basis for final packaging audits. - Report all rejected defects to PMTs and Supervisor. Follow through until defect is corrected. - Follow established procedures for defective products and gives all information to the Supervisor when product is put on “Hold”. - Report completed rework of defective products data according to established procedures. - May assist in training as assigned. - Assist the Supervisor as required. - Perform specified checks in accordance to Plant’s inspection plan. - Verify correct operation of in-line inspection devices, i.e. - leak testers, vision systems, metal detectors and other appropriate automated inspection equipment. - Complete all reports and forms for product and process documentation. - Enter required data to plant’s Statistical Process Charts (SPC) database. - Complete written documentation as required. - Assist in break relieves and helps out in production area when needed. - Keep Quality Assurance inspection areas clean. - Communicate about quality with other shifts and departments verbally and through written documents according to established procedures. - Limited travel may be required.

This is a Day Shift position operating from 7am-7pm on a 2/2/3 schedule (working every other weekend). - Pay starting at $23.37 per hour. - Weekly pay and benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401k with match) effective on day one! The Operator is responsible for operating a given number of plastic blow molding machines (including in-line equipment), and makes necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure production of containers is made in a safe, efficient and high quality manner. The primary duties of an Operator include: - Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned - Operate a group of plastic blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment producing a container in a safe and high quality method. - Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned. - Perform and/or assists in mold, insert and color changes on the line. - Perform basic processing of injection and/or blow molding machines to improve machine efficiency and reduce scrap. - Perform tasks and responsibilities of any Utility position during slow periods and/or as needed. - Monitor HDPE/PET resin (if applicable), dryer, material handling and color systems for appropriate processing conditions. - Make frequent on time quality checks on products being produced from established quality standards. - Assist other Operators and maintenance personnel on mechanical repairs. - Perform assigned preventative maintenance work. - Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards. - Complete and file all required documentation in an orderly and timely manner. - Communicate with the Production Shift Supervisor to coordinate production line support staff in accomplishing the lines’ objectives. - Verify material usage per standards - Perform minor troubleshooting and programming on the line. Notify leads and supervisors of any major problems or questions. - Operate equipment to minimize the generation and maximize the consumption of regrind, purge and scrap within customer specifications where applicable. - Properly identify regrind and chunk produced. - Communicate processing information to designated personnel on incoming shift. Assist other Operators as needed. - Assist in the training of new Operators. - Limited travel may be required
