Maintenance Supervisors are primarily responsible for effective installation and operation of plant production equipment, production support equipment, and facilities. These responsibilities are accomplished through selection, development, and day-to-day direction of the activities of the plant’s maintenance staff. The Maintenance Supervisor will assist in the financial responsibility for tool crib inventory by directing and controlling levels, purchasing and standardizing parts and maintenance of equipment repair histories. The Maintenance Supervisor will assist in the coordination and the implementation and continuous improvement of the plant’s Preventative Maintenance Program. The primary duties of a Maintenance Supervisor include: - Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Provides daily written assignments to assigned personnel consistent with the priorities set by immediate manager. - Adjusts daily assignments of assigned personnel as required to respond to emergencies within the plant. - Advises Maintenance Manager on an ongoing basis of the progress and problems being experienced by the Maintenance staff. - Responsible for the daily execution of the components of the Plant’s Preventative Maintenance Program assigned to the Maintenance Department. - Assists Maintenance Manager in updating and improving the Preventative Maintenance Program. - Responsible for major trouble shooting that is beyond the scope of the operating staff and implements corrective action plans for mechanical and electrical machine deficiencies of all lines. - Responsible for ordering parts, standardizing components and maintaining parts’ inventories within the Maintenance Department (subject to Plant Engineer’s approval). - Accountable for assisting management in the elimination of all plant safety deficiencies found and in performing audits in ensuring that our equipment and facilities comply with Federal, State and Local laws. - Maintain proper records for equipment repair histories, purchased components and company property assigned to the Maintenance Department. - 0-25% travel may be required.

Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the management of all logistic personnel and the overall responsibility for the material handling, receiving, shipping and warehouse operations and coordinating activities with the other departments in a manner which will result in meeting production schedules and customer delivery dates consistent with the Company policy and plant objectives. Graham Packaging Company has an opening for an Extruder Operator based in York, PA at our Recycling Plant.  This opening is for 2nd Shift, which operates during the hours of 3:00 PM-11:00 PM Monday through Friday.   The starting pay for this position is $21.76 per hour, plus shift differential.      The primary duties include:   - Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Perform entire line set up (palletizing system, pellet handling system, flake vacuum system, and scale system. - Fill out extruder process sheet appropriately and accurately. - Fill out extruder screen change log appropriately and accurately. - Pack bulk boxes within spec and quality post-consumer resin. - Perform quality assurance tests (volatile, pellet count, melt index, color scan, and press outs). - Print label and label box per Graham Recycling’s color standard. - Remove bulk box from scale and store in warehouse in the appropriate row. - Perform routine maintenance (c/o vacuum filters, pelletizer blades, and clean out air classifier filter). - Check and refill distilled water tank. - Monitor pelletizer water temperature. - Monitor pelletizing system and make adjustments accordingly. - Monitor extruder and make adjustments accordingly.

Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Machine Operator based in Modesto, CA.    Machine Operator experience REQUIRED.     B shift- Sunday & Monday: Off, Tuesday-Saturday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM   C shift - Monday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Tuesday & Wednesday 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Thursday & Friday: OFF, Saturday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Sunday: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM   D shift- Monday: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Tuesday & Wednesday: OFF, Thursday & Friday & Saturday : 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Sunday: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM     The Operator is responsible for operating a given number of plastic blow molding machines (including in-line equipment), and makes necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure production of containers is made in a safe, efficient and high quality manner. The primary duties of an Operator include: - Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices. - Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned - Operate a group of plastic blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment producing a container in a safe and high quality method. - Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned. - Perform and/or assists in mold, insert and color changes on the line. - Perform basic processing of injection and/or blow molding machines to improve machine efficiency and reduce scrap. - Perform tasks and responsibilities of any Utility position during slow periods and/or as needed. - Monitor HDPE/PET resin (if applicable), dryer, material handling and color systems for appropriate processing conditions. - Make frequent on time quality checks on products being produced from established quality standards. - Assist other Operators and maintenance personnel on mechanical repairs. - Perform assigned preventative maintenance work. - Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards. - Complete and file all required documentation in an orderly and timely manner. - Communicate with the Production Shift Supervisor to coordinate production line support staff in accomplishing the lines’ objectives. - Verify material usage per standards - Perform minor troubleshooting and programming on the line. Notify leads and supervisors of any major problems or questions. - Operate equipment to minimize the generation and maximize the consumption of regrind, purge and scrap within customer specifications where applicable. - Properly identify regrind and chunk produced. - Communicate processing information to designated personnel on incoming shift. Assist other Operators as needed. - Assist in the training of new Operators. - Limited travel may be required
