Overview

This multifaceted role supports customer accounts through a blend of financial oversight, administrative coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. Key responsibilities include assisting with accounts receivable by resolving payment issues and pricing discrepancies, maintaining accurate customer pricing in SAP, processing billings, and coordinating customer data setup. The role also provides proactive customer service and sales support, ensuring high levels of responsiveness and satisfaction. Additionally, the position contributes to sales planning and supply chain activities by managing forecasts, analyzing freight and inventory variances, and supporting new product setup and lifecycle management. This position plays a critical role in reducing DSO, enhancing data integrity, and improving customer experience.

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable 15% 

  • Assist Credit and Collections with payment issues to help reduce the DSO
  • Analyze and resolve pricing discrepancies, issuing additional billings and credits as needed
  • Address and resolve open items over 31 days past due with C&C
  • Communicate to C&C team when notified of any issues that could cause delays in customer payment within terms (quality and/or pricing issues)

 

Administrative 30% 

  • Responsible for calculating, and verifying all prices in SAP.  Maintain customer driven price sheets and ensure alignment with SAP.   Communicates changes to the customer 
  • Complete necessary forms to have customer bottle contracts created, new parts added and pricing updates throughout the year
  • Process miscellaneous billings (freight, dunnage, warehouse, samples, etc.),  track mold amortizations, process project mold/tooling billings, track rebates and prepare debits and credits
  • Coordinate and complete necessary customer master data forms to set up new/change customers in SAP
  • Analyze label inventories at facilities to determine label order quantities for each location. Work with Purchasing, if not maintained by SSR, to have label contracts created/updated based on label production yield report.  Order other packaging materials as necessary 
  • Prepare and upload MWBE information as required by customer into their website by requested deadlines 

 

Customer Service 25% 

  • Develop strong internal and external relationships to improve customer satisfaction
  • Provide support to the plants by responding to their requests within 24 hours 
  • Meet with key customer contacts and Account Manager, if possible
  • Provide customer support to the Account Manager.  As Account Managers change, transfer customer knowledge and train new Account Manager on customer specifics.  Schedule calls for periodic updates on accounts
  • Field incoming inquiries, providing samples and drawings as requested
  • Provide customer specific reports including inventories, sales, freight, dunnage, etc. based on customer deadlines 

 

Sales Planning / Supply Chain / Logistics 30% 

  • Obtain and forward customer forecast to demand planning team
  • Work with account managers to review budget established by S&OP team to ensure data integrity
  • Coordinate with customer, plants, engineering, Account Managers to complete the necessary material master data forms to establish new items in SAP
  • Block material numbers in SAP (material master and contract) upon completion of life cycle. 
  • Create and maintain representative budget/forecast part numbers
  • Track freight variances on a quarterly basis and present losses to the account manager to address with the customer 
  • Track obsolete inventory.  Obtain purchase orders for obsolete/slow moving inventory and invoice customer to reduce working capital 
  • Complete all customer dunnage inventories as requested by the S&OP team
  • Review and validate budget pricing in SAP provided by Pricing Manager/Analyst.  Make any necessary pricing adjustments as requested.  Convert freight to a per M rate vs. truckload.
  • Complete necessary forms for NAFTA certificates to comply with customer requests

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  BA / BS preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  2 years + Sales Support or related experience

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:  High level of problem solving / analytical skills.  Detail oriented.  Ability to set priorities with little supervision.  Demonstrate high level of support to account managers.  Extensive knowledge of customer base.

 

The standard compensation for this role is $60,300 - $90,500. Salary offers will be determined based on final candidate qualifications, experience, skillset, and other relevant factors.

Compensation Statement

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
