Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Machine Operator I based in Muskogee OK. This opening is for Day Shift, Monday – Friday, which operates during the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This position will operate blow molding and auxiliary production equipment in a manufacturing environment.

The Machine Operator I is responsible for operating plastic blow molding machines (including in-line equipment) and making necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure production of containers is completed in a safe, efficient, and high-quality manner.

• Understands, follows, and enforces all established safety, health, quality, GMP, and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices
• Operate blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Monitor production to ensure containers meet established quality standards
• Perform routine quality checks and accurately complete required documentation
• Assist with mold, insert, and color changes on the production line
• Perform minor troubleshooting and basic machine adjustments to improve efficiency and reduce scrap
• Monitor resin, dryers, material handling, and color systems for proper processing conditions
• Assist maintenance personnel with mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance activities
• Maintain housekeeping and organization standards in assigned work areas
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, leads, maintenance, quality, and incoming/outgoing shifts
• Properly identify and manage regrind, purge, and scrap materials
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational goals
• Assist in training new operators as needed
• Perform duties of utility positions during downtime or as operationally required

Operators are required to interact with managers, employees, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:

• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
• Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
• Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
