Graham Packaging is looking for a Packaging Specialist based in Muskogee Oklahoma. This opening is for C Shift, which operates during the hours of 7:00 pm and 7:30 am.

 

Graham Packaging is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Packaging Specialist. This role is responsible for supporting the packaging and palletizing process in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are met.

This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, supporting efficient production flow, and preparing finished product for shipment.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor packaging and palletizing equipment during production
• Inspect finished product and packaging for quality issues or defects
• Ensure pallets are stacked correctly and safely
• Apply pallet tags, labels, and required documentation accurately
• Replace packaging materials such as stretch wrap, straps, slip sheets, and labels as needed
• Maintain continuous material flow to support production operations
• Respond to machine alarms and notify appropriate personnel when issues arise
• Perform routine housekeeping and maintain a clean work area
• Follow all safety, GMP, and quality requirements
• Work closely with production, warehouse, and quality teams to support operations

Previous manufacturing experience a plus.

Packaging Specialists are required to interact with managers, employees, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:

• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
• Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
• Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
