Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II for our Muskogee, OK facility. This is a day shift position working Monday through Friday on 8-hour shifts.
In this role, the Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and maintaining overall equipment performance.
This role requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and plant systems to support safe and efficient operations
Perform emergency repairs during production and complete scheduled preventative maintenance activities
Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair components, and make necessary adjustments to restore functionality
Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs
Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete maintenance tasks
Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform maintenance work
Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime
Assist in training production employees on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance practices
Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with all safety, quality, and GMP standards
Communicate equipment issues and unusual conditions to supervisors and team members
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and work orders
Experience performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs in a manufacturing environment
Basic computer skills for documentation and maintenance systems
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production and maintenance teams
Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts
