Overview

The Supply Chain Data Analyst at Graham Packaging Company (GPC) is responsible for transforming supply chain data into actionable insights that improve operational performance, optimize inventory and production flows, and support strategic decision-making across the network. This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Operations, IT, Finance, Engineering, and Commercial teams to enable a data-driven, world-class supply chain organization.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collect, cleanse, validate, and integrate supply chain data from multiple sources including SAP, WMS, transportation systems, and external data feeds.
  • Analyze demand, supply, inventory, production, capacity, and logistics data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop demand forecasts and scenario models to support S&OP, network optimization, and capacity planning initiatives.
  • Monitor inventory performance, safety stock levels, and inventory turns to reduce working capital and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities across freight, warehousing, sourcing, and manufacturing through data-driven analysis.
  • Create standardized reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI to support leadership decision-making.
  • Track and report KPIs such as service level, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, utilization, and supply chain cost metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and root causes through data analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical models and insights.
  • Support SAP-related initiatives (S4/Hana, MRP, SNP, WMS) by validating data accuracy and enabling analytical reporting.

Qualifications

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large, complex data sets.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain processes including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, production, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Ability to communicate analytical insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting change management and process standardization initiatives is preferred.

Qualifications

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in supply chain analytics, operations, planning, or a related analytical role.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (PP, MM, APO, SNP, PPDS, WMS) or similar ERP systems is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics tools is strongly preferred.
  • APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.

Computer & Analytical Skills

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas. Experience using visualization and analytics platforms such as Tableau or Power BI. Ability to analyze large data sets, apply statistical and mathematical concepts, and develop actionable insights to support operational and strategic decisions.

 

The standard compensation for this role is $70,900 - $106,300 . Salary offers will be determined based on final candidate qualifications, experience, skillset, and other relevant factors
